Is it possible to update from 8.5b3 to 8.5.x when it is released?

I have a small test system and my question is: Can I do this?

8.0.7 -> 8.5beta3 -> 8.5.x when it is released?

I do not want to run the beta if this is a "dead end" and I have to do a reinstall when 8.5 is GA.
