Zimbra admin console login problem

$

0
Hi,

Coming back to the office after the weekend wasn't a pleasant surprise. Suddenly i cant log in to the admin console. It is stuck at loading. I have tried flushing the cache but with no success.
When i change the skin to serenity it looks like this:
admin serenity.jpg'

When i try to log in with the default skin it looks like this:
admin default.jpg

Since i changed the skin file and skin.properties files i'm starting to think it may be a problem with that since i can see the admin interface with the serenity skin although it doesnt work well.

Anyone have the carbon skin files or have a soloution to this problem?

Zimbra web page not loading

I just installed an instance of Release 8.0.3_GA_5664.RHEL6_64_20130305090204 CentOS6_64 FOSS edition on a fresh, empty server. However, when I try and bring up the web page, it never comes up, it just sits there waiting for a response. I have update my hosts file to make sure that the server resolves itself there. Netstat -an shows that ports 80 and 443 are bound to 0.0.0.0. I'm not sure what else to check to find out why my page isn't loading. Any ideas?

I had windows 7 on my PC preinstalled, when I bought it. Recently, my system crashed and wouldn't boot. On searching for my re-installation disk, i discovered that I had lost it. Though I recovered my system using start up recovery, I was thinking that if any greater damage would occur in near future, I would be totally helpless. So, I want to know if I can create a new installation disk from my installed windows 7.:p

Headless installation on amazon cloud instance questions...

$

I'm preparing to move to Amazon (via RightScale) from our existing infrastructure which in short is Plesk. I'm just starting to play around with the Zimbra Open Source installer and I've got a couple questions to start...

1. First, I've used wget to get started, just wondering if there's a YUM archive I could be using instead?
2. Since this is going to be a headless install, are there command line options available to "auto-accept" the license questions, and further (I'm stuck at this point due to an issue with our /etc/hosts) if there are further questions during installation, how can I provide input values to them?

Thanks to anyone that can lend a hand here.

Kevin.

Setting up zimbra to receive and send email outside like gmail and ymail

Dear Gurus:

I've been searching the forum of possible resolution of my problem but unfortunately cant find the right one to make it work.

Our current setup are:
- We are using ZCS 7 running on RHEL 5 64bit
- We have DNS server running on Windows Server 2003
- We also have public ip to host our asp.net web applications
- We are using Cyberoam as our firewall, if you guys can provide list of ports used by zimbra, it would be helpful
- We have domain name hosted by hostmonster and mail setup from them, what we want is to use the domain email address but the webmail server is our own zimbra server, we can access our zimbra mail server using port forwarded 8080 in our public ip

I may say we have successfully installed zimbra because we can send and receive mail thru lan, its been days ive been browsing the forum for possible solution but cant find one, if anyone can provide steps say 1. Setup Split DNS, 2. etc 3. etc...

Thank you in advance.

Hi;

I'm new with this mail system and with CentOS. In my new job we have Zimbra 7.01 over CentOS 5.6 and I want to move forward.

I have the new zcs-7.2.3_GA_2872.RHEL5_64.20130304144832 to upgrade my 7.0.1 but I dont know how to.

I need step by step instructions.

Thank you.

Migrating 7.1.1 -> 8.03 new server

I want to migrate form Ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04 on a new server. I am currently running 7.1.1 I tried to upgrade it on 10.04 to zimbra 8.0.3, it failed to see the previous version but found that the directory was there. I canceled that install then proceeded to install 7.2.3 instead hoping that maybe it was just too big a jump, it also did not see the previous install but I chanced it and continued choosing the 'without deleting the zimbra directory' option. It bombed on zimbra core and exited. Not knowing how far along it went I tried a zmcontrol start, [sudo] password for zimbra: error
I restored everything, zmpermfix and visudo. the old server appears to be working. Is there another way to migrate? There is no version 7 for 12.04 so I cannot install 7.x.x on 12.04 as described in the threads I have read. I could try installing 10.04 on the new server with a fresh install of 7.1.1 migrate and see if that install will allow an upgrade?

Zimbra 8.0.3 and initial file system resizing

Hello everybody,
I just installed new appliance ver 8.0.3 and I was surprised to notice that in the VM 9 hard discs have been created (!).
Since I need to configure this appliace to be put into production-real environment I would start the install by properly size disc volumes.
Considering that I have 200 accounts, all of them using IMAP with max mailbox size set at 2GB, I want to size the messagge partition at 500GB.
The question is: how does the procedure reported on page 14 of the Installation Guide (Adding storage to the zimbra appliance) changes?
I'm getting confused with all these non-documented changes...
Thanks in advance for your help.

New installation and change of hostname leaves old hostname visible Advanced Stats

Heya,

I've installed ZCS and I'm really diggin' it so far however I seem to have run into a bit of a furfy. I've had to change the hostname of the server. This was done successfully and seemingly without a hitch. The only residual thing is that when I look under Home - Monitor - Advances Statistics, I can see the old hostname. Id like to get rid of it if possible.

Now Ive done a bit of digging around on the box to find anything that may have been left behind in config files and such by running a grep:

Code:

find / -xdev -type f -print0 | xargs -0 grep -H "OLD_HOSTNAME"
and a few things have popped up. Aside from the old hostname existing in some mail headers in the mail store, the others are listed in old certs. Ive installed my own signed wildcard cert for the domain successfully. Heres some details:

Code:

Problem with logger?

Hi

Today I installed Zimbra 8 on my Ubuntu Server 12.04 and everything went fine, except one: logs in web admin panel. In main page I have at top "(X) Some services are inactive", and in the right "Service: (X) Service has been terminated \n Active sessions: Loading... \n Queue length: 0" (All of this is in my native language, so it is translated to English with the same meaning). When I choose "Server status" I have red (X) before every module (spell, ldap, snmp etc). I was looking for some solution on this forum and wiki but nothing help. So as wiki wrote: "Take the above information, and post/attach the information to support or the Zimbra Forums", here's my outputs:

zimbra@zimbratest:~$ zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats | head -20

Code:

zimbra@zimbratest:~$ zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats @limit=1 | head -50

Of course zmcontrol status give me:
Code:

zimbra@zimbratest:~$ zmcontrol status
Host zimbratest.local
        antispam                Running
        antivirus              Running
        ldap                    Running
        logger                  Running
        mailbox                Running
        mta                    Running
        snmp                    Running
        spell                  Running
        stats                  Running
        zmconfigd              Running

Also I receive diagnostic mails (only "Service X started on zimbratest.local").

I have no idea what can I do, to diagnose problem...

Intel aes-ni support in openssl config used by Zimbra

Hello,

Does zimbra (using version 8.0.3 on RHEL6_X64 platform) support the Intel AES-NI engine ?
How can we activate or test it ?

If i you the OS-installed openssl command (as root)

# openssl engine -c -tt

it says
(aesni) Intel AES-NI engine

Would the openssl used by zimbra (/opt/zimbra/openssl) also be using this engine ?

Just running (as root)
# /opt/zimbra/openssl/bin/openssl engine -c -tt
says
(rsax) RSAX engine support.

I get the same result running this command as zimbra user.

Thx for any assistance.

X.
